Funerals
I am an approved piper for USNA services and will work with you with my connections at the Academy to provide the experience you envision. I have played at numerous services at Arlington. I am available for civilian services as well.
Scottish Small Pipes and 3/4 pipes
For some events, less volume may be preferred. For those times, I can perform using the quieter Scottish Small Pipes. These are quieter and in lower in pitch than Highland Pipes. The 3/4 pipes are also in a lower pitch and are louder than the Small Pipes but not as loud as GHP.
Folk Group
I have connections with other instrumentalists if you want a folk group. Our sound is more traditional and Pan Celtic. It includes Scottish and Irish tunes as well as some Breton and Galician. Let me know what the occasion is and we can discuss possibilities.
Lessons
I am available for lessons if you are interested in learning to play the pipes or improve your current ability. I have a Masters degree in education and have completed courses on how the brain best learns and performs. It doesn't have to be hard work.
Repertoire
Some people say bagpipes music all sounds the same. It doesn't. Most European countries have bagpipe music in their tradition. There is a unique sound to pipe music from Brittany, or Galicia or even Nova Scotia.
